If you make the back rails parallel to the bed sides and narrow the bed to match it would be spot on.
narrow the frame and cut the ends off the crossmember. The ends of the cross member serve no purpose to the spring.

On my 39 Chevy I am using the stock parallel leaf springs but have bobbed 24" out of the frame (rear leafs). Unfortunatly I did not measure...
At least 57" flange to flange. It is going in a fenderless truck with a 454, has to handle about 500 hp so I need the 9" the 8" will not cut it....

I was told it is a very soft spring and not to use it if I am using something other than a banger or flatty motor.
On the rear you can flip the axle and get 4-5 inches. Im doing that a 10" notch and 4" blocks to get my car where I want it. The front I ripped...

This is a huge inspiration for my wifes car Im building. I like this car alot.
