The exteriors are the same, but floors and rear bracing are different for the rear jump seats in the business coupe.
The Coupe 5-window was also referred to as the Ford V8. Mike Kubarth's "It's Ford for '40" is the most accurate source for '40 Ford info to date,...
JFYI, there were/are two '40 Ford coupes; a Business coupe, and a Coupe-5 window, per Ford Motor Co.
The Glide in my Brookville is bolted directly to the floor without sliders, and to the rear as far as possible for maximum leg room. The seat...
Any booster push rod adjustments to primary master cylinder piston should be done with full (approx 20 in/Hg) vacuum applied to the booster,...
I'm also anti billet, except for fuel filters.
Why not just use a permanent billet filter with a cleanable SS screen. They're available from many venders with several outside sizes, inside...
RIP Jim. Your talent and creativity inspired many of us over the years.
Juliano sells several styles of B pillar brackets that make shoulder belt installation easy.
Why not just use an electric pump???
Your master cylinder is '67ish or later, and may contain the necessary residual valves behind the tube seats-you'll have to check. No...
The first thing is try not to let them get too dirty. I've always had good results on my D.B.s with Simple Green along with a mild scouring pad,...
Hopefully, this will put to rest the questions about metering. I will state from a '74 Bendix brake system service manual. Metering Valves "Some...
Based on several adjustable PVs I've worked with over many years..... The minimum 100 psi and maximum 1000 (3000??) psi valve settings are the...
I removed this from a low mileage 390/4-speed Galaxie in '70 and has always stored dry. All bearings and gears (3:50 open) are in very nice...

IF you stay with a booster, move to a dual 7" or 8" and ditch the single pos 7 as I previously stated. The big question I have is, do you really...
The correct identification of that picture is a combination valve, that includes a proportioning valve, front metering and pressure differential....
The pedal needs it's own return spring to fully return. Do not rely on the booster, or master cylinder in a manual system, to properly return the...

I had the same issue with the '40 sedan split back seat in my coupe. Spent a lot of time de-mousing and cleaning the seat spring bottom, but the...
I thought it originally stated V8 60, but if not, my bad!
The pictured engine is a 24 stud "big" flathead, not a 17 stud 60.
