I use a paper gasket with a thin smear of silicone on each side, clean surfaces on both the housing and third member. copper or aluminium washers...
@jordabennett has had good dealings with them over this side of the country, might be someone more helpful in the food chain
Now you've got two busted ones, cut one into strips as filler rod and practice welding on the other before fixing the cracked one?
If it's cheap enough, grab it and stash it for later, when you're no longer a novice ;)

I run 11.5:1 on an ally headed Windsor, 236/242 @.050 we get 98 octane on the pump down here though

@Tim best to use studs on a hemi, bottom row go into water and top into oil
