I just did the same with a Mellings MTC-1 cam, NOS Delphi's and Zinc fortified break in oil...no problems :)

I run 5.60-15 on a 4" dropped axle with reverse eye Posie spring, so far no clearance problems even if the tire runs flat, I did adjust my caster...

As badshifter mentioned above if you have the early style the lower cams must be adjusted first before the upper cam...do you have the early...
I myself would take a sample gasket and get some laser cut in copper material at the thickness you require...being in NZ and the cost of head...
From literature I have taken off the internet the head combustion chamber is stated to be 67-70 cc,.... the volume with piston valve reliefs is...
