I think you mean his Ackermann steering geometry is messed up because of the tie rod out front.

I had mine converted to Pertronix by Bubba's Hot Rod Shop in Indianapolis. It works great. He has coils too. He is an alliance vendor.
Also, having the mounting points that far apart will limit your turning radius.
I always thought a '32 - '34 bed looked good on a model A truck. I guess I'm different.
I believe Mercury used 16 x 5, 5 x 5-1/2 bolt pattern but I don't know what years. I have a pair on the back of my 29 truck with 7.50 x 16 tires....

I always thought the T coupe would look great with a '28-'29 A truck cowl and a hair cut.. It would be super easy swap as they use the same doors.
