The Jalopy Journal
Well I just took everything apart and the pilot bushing is toast. No other issues that I can see. I checked the depth of the input shaft and it...
Thanks Brent, I'm planning on pulling it apart over the long weekend and I just wanted to get any parts that I may need together. I am leaning...
it doesn't have the spring thing you mentioned, but I did weld in some stops to keep it from spinning on the fork.
Not that I have noticed. It goes into all gears very easily. My furthest drive has only been about 10 miles though.
bump for the night crew.
Also, if the pilot bushing was bad wouldn't it make the noise every time?
Sorry, it is an 8ba flywheel. Mixing and matching parts I tend to forget whats what. I am leaning towards the pilot bushing as well, but it was...
Please excuse the crappy video quality. <IFRAME height=315 src="//www.youtube.com/embed/OJ8OgvfIa8c" frameBorder=0 width=420...
With the clutch depressed in neutral there is no noise. Once I place the car in gear I hear what sounds like a angry pack of wasps. Sometimes I...
I use mine when I am in a paint booth. The air pump is located outside the booth away from the mixing table. If I use it at home I place it as far...
Im pretty sure that's it. Thanks, I have relayed the info to my step dad.
Yeah, I told him the odds of finding this car were slim with such little info. The only other thing he told me was that the guy wanted 21k, but...
My step-dad called me about a stock black 1928/29 Model A Roadster for sale somewhere in AZ. It is an older gentleman located in Scottsdale or...
Anyone know of a good machine shop in south LA, north OC area? I need to take 0.100" of my flathead cylinder heads and I will need to have the...
Yes, the bolt patern for the flywheel was 11" so thats the setup I went with. Do I have to use a 10" with this setup?
Heres a better view of the truck housing.
It is from a 49-53 Ford with the steel truck adaptor. This allows me to use the Speedway style T5 adaptor.
Here's a pic
So my clutch guy screwed around for 2 months until he found a disc and pressure plate that would work. I got it home today and it hits the steel...
I got an aftermarket one from the LA Roadster show and it worked fine in my original frame. It was a little tight, but it fit.
WOW:eek:
There should be a stop on the pin that holds the king pins in the axle. It will hit the spindle to limit the turning radius.
I agree with others that the sides stick out too far. I feel it will also look odd with the taillights staggered and so far apart.
You can get the headers at Speedway. They look like the stainless ones I got for my roadster.
Thanks for the advice. I have access to a press so I will give it a shot. I just wanted to be sure first. I just bought a replacement at MACs as...
Is anyone else have a problem with the app shutting down when you change a setting or try to start a new thread? It is doing this on my 4s and Ipad2.
I'm not sure if it presses out, but I don't want to break anything if its held in somehow.
How do I get the pedal shaft out of the cast housing? I don't see any pin holding it in, but it could be covered in the powder coating. It's...
VERY BAD IDEA!!! A 32 should only be on 32 rails. The 41 frame is way to big and won't flow with the body. Save yourself a headache and buy some...
Looks good. I'm a huge fan of green, so I can't wait to see the final product. What color is the frame going to be?
Separate names with a comma.
