I've wondered that same thing too. My guess was cooling issues but not if the radiators were the same size.
[ATTACH] Not as purdy as most of them on this thread but I drive the wheels off of my 36 with a 330" Desoto.
I dig it and I'm a Ford guy also. 56 is my favorite of the tri five chevs, add a perfect hot rod 36 Ford 3 window and I'm drooling!
