I would think there would be at least one shop in the Orlando area that does hot rod or classic car restoration work. They should be able to help you.
Just a couple of hot rods in my garage.[ATTACH]
122 c.i. or 283 c.i.? Definitely the 283.
I’m using a Glide Engineering seat assembly in the ‘32 five window I’m building (see avatar) without a package tray. I’ve chopped the top 4” so...
If the town started with “Mo” it was probably Mohave, Ca. That’s where Gene lives and works.
Check out older Japanese motorcycle turn signal lights. There should be a few over there.
I imagine X38 is correct about masking the real problem. In any event, I would not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended pressures. They’re there...
I had this one for 42 years. Sold it to build the ‘32 five window I’m currently working on.[ATTACH]
Worked on the chassis for my 5 window.
Hard to beat a ‘28-‘29 A highboy on ‘32 rails, either coupe or roadster.
If it’s the same car it’s a shame.
Can’t help you with your 6V question but if it was mine I’d convert it to12V neg. ground and get a unit from VintageAir.
Your lean could be attributed to several things including something as simple as the rear spring u-bolts being tightened unequally.
I use a DeVilbiss HVLP gun. Can’t remember the model number right now.
I convert half of my garage into a paint booth of sorts to paint. The paint is pretty nice but I’ll cut and buff it. It’s PPG -DCC single stage.
Thanks for all of the kind words. I’m happy with the way it turned out. It’s my first paint job.
It’s a United Pacific body with a 4” chop. The color is ‘32 Ford Old Cheshire Gray. To me me it’s more brown with hints of gray and olive.
I painted my body today. Big milestone for my build. All of the other body parts are already painted. The frame is next then I can start final...
The only way I found that the dust cover was where the grinding was coming from was to remove it. Once out I could see that the paint had been...
Had the same issue once and it was the dust cover touching up around the crank. Horrible grinding sound.
Aluminum wire is only about 60% as conductive as the same size copper wire. I wouldn’t use use aluminum wire anywhere on a car.
I like the pu with the’38 passenger nose.
Rear radius rod mounts look “unusual”.
Quarter windows, shaved door handles and rear fender “rock guards” don’t match the Fassett car.
I’m with you @J.Ukrop. The 5 window I’m building (avatar) has a Winters QC under it. Just had to have one. Mine has a 3.78 r&p too with a...
If simplicity is your goal I’d go TH350 but with a little more effort the 700R4 is a great driving and cruising trans. The overdrive is really nice.
Their website is still up. Says they’re open Tuesday.-Saturday. I know someone who was there recently to buy flathead stuff.
Just about any shop that does auto glass should be able to fix you up if you’ve got your own patterns.
My Deuce roadster with a 3” chop has a custom seat (SidChavers) which sits low but is not adjustable and the back doesn’t hinge. My 5 window...
