The Jalopy Journal
Don has been busy altering the windwings and door windows. All of the window trim should be going to the plater very soon. Nothing visual had...
Looks to me like it would be terrifying!
I don't believe that the Kaiser Darrin was influenced by Kurtis in any way. Kurtis was really about performance, and Kaiser was not.
I don't recall that I've ever seen a 500M in person, but I've seen many 500S's (probably 10+) over the years -- especially at vintage racing...
Tony is also correct about Mike Bishop's car, so I have no idea whose car the first blue roadster was!
Lurker Mick says he thinks it's Mike Bishop. I think he's right; my mistake.
I haven't looked through the whole thread to see if it's already been mentioned, but isn't that Mike Chase's "Old Blue"?
Edit: Now I have looked...

Here's a different slant on what to do with a '51 Victoria:[ATTACH]
VERY nice '40. Congratulations.
I prefer the stock '49 grille.

Completely OT for the HAMB, but definitely over the top:
1963 Lotus Super Seven. Only 1340cc English Ford engine, but the car weight...
My preference is whitewalls, no skirts, and Lincoln wheel covers.
Admittedly, I'm biased:
Another green Victoria of mine. This one was sold, and is now in Australia:
...And some more pictures of the same car.
Gary Minor built this car for me, completed in 2009. Lives in Australia now.
This is 50Fraud, painted Polo Green in 1997:
...and so is this, re-customized this year, and repainted in the same color (not quite...
I agree. It made a huge difference on the '40, especially when it turned out to be extremely difficult to do the stainless in the same way that...
Yes, that's true. I think I may be a pain-in-the-ass customer, but Don is usually on the same page when it comes to getting it right.
I think Don would agree that the changes to the quarter windows were among the most complex parts of the project, but they're also among the most...
Thank you all. And thanks to Rik Hoving and Don for the design and execution.
OK. Don said that I can post this picture. It's not done yet; there's a bunch of trim around the windows that has to be plated and then installed,...
I've seen some pictures now that hint at what the car will look like when it's finished. It's not quite far enough along to post pictures, but IMO...
Nice. I think '54s are pretty cars, but they seem oddly scarce.
Nice coupe. I love them too.
I think your advice is sound, but it's quite possible to make a 3-carb setup work fine on the street. I ran an Offy 3-jug manifold on the flattie...
I'm aware of 4 sectioned cars that Valley Custom did by around '52. I think the earliest of them may have been Ralph Jilek's '40 Convertible, and...
Unusual hood trim on this car. Similar to '41 commercial, but different??
