I like the Permatex automotive headliner adhesive. Comes in a big orange can with a dark blue lid....
First thing that comes to my mind is switching the shocks side for side after making the springs equal again and see if that changes anything....

Another tip Scott, is to keep the ground close to where you are welding for best voltage/penetration.
You don’t have to have the ground an inch...
