Why not use the gates heat shrink style hose clamps and then the tower style clamp just for show and not worry about over tightening them ,we use...
I agree with blue one if you do not want a header leak use reflex gaskets on both the collector and at the head more money but are worth it

Hedman makes a header fits 58-64 used them in a 1960 impala .looked real tight on the steering shaft but no problem fitting lots of clearance...

try right stuff detailing I have installed these kits and they fit great and customer service is great
what about por-15 products I have brushed it on and it flows out smooth .you can also spray it
try using a line called cupro nickel it flares well and is easy to benda company is called fmsi automotive hardware
