There were both 4.5" wide original wheels on the 6 cyl cars up to 5.5" wide on convertibles and wagons.. 5" standard and likely what you have....

This is a 1935 Terraplane roadster. Aussie market car only. Not avail. in US.
It is a '36-39 Hudson or Terraplane axle. Hudson's first hydraulic brakes were in '36. The trailing stabilizing arm also started in '36.
