I save the cut off tip from the caulking tube and insert it back into the end to make a perfect seal. It keeps the caulk from drying out....

The info you found looks doable.
Don't bend the spokes. Tighten them with a wrench. The spokes will straighten the rim.

Have you tried to true the wobbly wheel by tightening and loosening the spokes?

The hood support is from flat bar stock, dipped in liquid plastic.
I found the hood corners only protect from scratching the fender and cowl. Don't plan on them to support the hood. I made hood supports that...
