I was always told that if you over torque a bearing it is better to slacken it right off, spin the bearing and start again.
Always worth a try, what you got to lose you can only get a NO at worst.

Just to update you on the spares situation. Have tried a number of places over here and all I have got back so far is that it is a very rare...
NO is the simply answer as the steering geometry goes out the window.
