The Jalopy Journal
Ditto on the Mercury! My first car was a 53 Merc three speed that a previous owner had removed the OD. Very nice car you have!
1948 Plymouth business coupe. 318 (Edelbrock Performer, Holley dual line 780CFM, Chrysler electronic ignition, cast iron manifolds), rebuilt 727...
What did you decide on? We put a 83 318 and 727 in my 48.
REALLY like this bottom one!
Like that Oldsmobile!!!
May not be a full pressure system. Pretty sure 53 car manual shifts still used the dippers and auto's were full pressure. Have in my head all...
Good looking Plymouth!
I can't tell for sure, but the cowl seam looks like it's been filled. Also, looks like the rockers were extended to meet the bottom of the fenders.
A friend of mine welded a piece from another ring to fill the gap when I removed the fender stainless on my 48. Looks factory.
The guys at Gearstar transmission indicated you had to use a 360 convertor with a 360 when I inquired about rebuilding my 727A.
I had to make to same type of dimple for my 318 in the P15.
This one of the few I've seen that I like with the stainless still on the car. Generally I like the front fender and side trim removed.

Welcome from south central Missouri
I'd be interested in driving up to St. Charles.
Good morning and welcome!
Why waste a good Mopar crank?
Hi, glad to see another Ply 48
I'd think that frame would have to wide of a track for a 39 Pontiac.
