I had new M&H pie crust slicks on my gassers in both 64 and 65. 8" on my C/Gas 55 Chevy in 64 and 11" on my B/Gas Henry J in 65.
And the racing was a hell of a lot better back then!
Had a one piece glass front on a Henry J I helped build during the winter of 64/65.
I would guess 60 or 61 from the 2 hole injection, Traction Masters and the narrow slicks.
Everybody can post all the theories and formulas about cooling they want...but in 1964 on my first gasser I didn't use a thermostat in the cooling...

The NHRA had automatic sub classes in A, B & C in 60, 61 & 62 by 63 they could see that they were no longer needed.
