That is what happened to the board track in Unipntown. Too many rain outs and lost revenue. Then depression and track was cut up.
The board track in Uniontown PA. was on the Indy circuit at the time. Duesenberg was on the pole.
Yes, the board tracks were popular also at this time and didn't last.
There is a road marker on RT.30 Pa. somewhere around Stoystown. One of the Duesenberg brothers were killed in a road accident. I believe around 1932.

I run 7 lbs on the street with my blown Chrysler Hemi. Standard head gaskets, no problem with 30K miles. I think 22 lbs is to much for the street....
The cylinder walls on a 240 Dodge are thick, They bored them out to make 270. If in doubt sleeve them.
With that much boost, your concern should be the lower end, not the valve train. no need to spin to 6500rpm.
Trenz, If you put a blower on it your lower lift cam and head work is not as critical. Turn up the boost!

Metal cutting bandsaw with bi-metal blade, slow speed. Will do a nicer cut than torch.
Powder coat is not as good as cracked up to be. Rust will still develop under it and difficult to remove.

There is a big difference in quality of lights. Cibie are quality lights. Many cheap one from China are not up to task.
You need a slightly smaller dia. M/C for non power, and 6 to 1 pedal ratio. Many after market pedals are 5 to 1, and keep the master under one...
