I've done the same thing on a Y block Ford recently and it works great.
The lincoln ones are bigger than ford yblock covers,they fit over them by a bit.
I think I see a roadster in your future Ha ha ha

I used one of them cheap steering wheels with the black foam and cut the hoop off. Grafted a banjo center to it.
I didn't start out with much more than that on my first A,clear out the garage:D and have fun!
