Hello everyone, I've bought those wheels a while ago and can't ID its.
One was with a 6.00-6.25 16 tire
hub diameter is around 7-3/4 inch
Might be engines from "cargo" trucks, 3.9 liters from 1955 to 1959.
The ones with the govenor boss are in "Marmon" trucks 4.2 liters from 1959...
repro Cragar OHV ...

you're probably right, model A and V8 have the same torque specs, no matter if it's babbit or insert

sorry to dig up this old thread but I just start to rebuilt my G28T and I can't find the crank and conrod nuts torque ? any idea ?...
have you considered using austin mini wiper ? You can hide the motor under the dash, and it's cheap ... even new ...
my ex-parts are suppose to stop your cars (I hope ...)

GMC Bubba sells a distributor for Ford Banger, A, B, C, G28T ... He makes those out of an industrial Mallory unit. I've order one, not try...
What 's your engine ? A or B . If you have a A engine, fit a BB bellhousing is doable but as AA bellhousing are not rare, may be it's doesn't...

you can still find new ones from time to time, but not the one with 4" crank . It's around 1500.
They made the special pan just for the SUMB...
mine, found it last year, almost unrestored, will work on it one day ...
If you need something, drop me an MP. I can try to find it, but parts for the "little brother" V8 are hard to get and usually not cheap...
few others reasons are the french car size, smaller than the big US sisters - vedette are not that big - Engine was cheaper because already use...
