The Jalopy Journal
Safe travels. Am enjoying the ride along.
My brother and his wife are flying over to attend.
I bet you are the first guy to the fishing spot in the morning.
Cool. Wasn't there a thread up recently about someone finding this truck? A link to that would be great.
This is the 2nd time you have posted about the headlights in the past couple of months.
Have you even been reading the previous threads?
Yes pictures please, I like 39 Chevs. Can't help you with the brakes, mine has had a later disc braked front end fitted into it. One thing to look...
This deserves a bump as there must be a lot of these spindles out there.
How about some pics of the car. I sold my 98 coupe a few years ago but still have a 98 convert half finished project.
It is usually something simple that stumps us.
Link didn't work for me.
I would blast the interior as well as long as the cost doesn't go over the top. Definitely Epoxy prime everything. This will hold moisture out a...
All this time you are spending in the garage must be severely cutting into your golfing?
I think the safest way would be to have the body blasted and then Epoxy primed straight away.
It looks like a good body to start with.
It appears Speedway Motors have now changed the wording on their web site from Forged Steel to Cast Iron.
This is an issue more people need to be...
These are nothing like the Olds pans. I have done 2 x 56 Olds, you will have to fold up and suage your own panels to get them looking original.

Is it a pickup or a cut down sedan? Hard to tell from the pics.
Shit that is an ugly car. Some of the concept cars looked great but this one missed the boat.
Haha fair enough. I guess that means you didn't buy it?
Just went to the For Sales to check it out and see it has sold. At 6'4" it wouldn't have worked for me.
I actually don't get what all the fuss is...
That looks good.
My 56 with 15 x 7 rims.[ATTACH]
Yes I have seen that product, no name to it (not that it matters if it is a good product). The eastwood deadener seems to be a similar price....
I can buy the Eastwood product locally as well as the Dynamat. The Eastwood product specs look good, I was just wondering if there was any feed...
Has anyone used the Eastwood sound mat product? I don't think anyone imports Kilmat into New Zealand. We can purchase Dynamat but is hellishly...
What a shame. Wait for the patina crowd to jump on here saying it looks better now than then.
Thank god for that. I saw the heading and thought no more MASH reruns. LOL.
Man that is a lot of work but a great result.
I know I shouldn't ask but how many hours would you have in it?
What a great read.
Even dressed like your typical hot rodder.LOL.
It will be a struggle. I tried to do the same on my 56 98 coupe and ended up with 7" rims which fitted OK.
The car has been sold but from memory...
