Over the weekend. I banged out a headliner. Mocked it in.
It fits perfect but I decided to insulate first I also need some closed cell foam and K-grip for the inner rear around the backlight.
When I hit the upholstery jobber
Im thinking I may pick up a few yards of black stayfast or sunbrella.

    Fo Carson top anyone?

    Input needed.

    Black on black cloth?
    Or metalic leaf green/teal pearl
    With black cloth

Shane, Your car will give a lot of us who are in progress some extra inspiration ESPECIALLY since this takes place over a 10 year period! I've been working on my Merc for 2 plus years and continue almost daily either searching for parts or putting my hands on it and I understand your tenacity-It's contagious so keep it up! Your ride is just that-A true "Kustom" in the making and it looks killer so far. Thank oyu for sharing-Michael V

    Home store insulation
    Lightweight and cheep.
    Under that is roofing paper.
Made a huge difference in dampening . Before I did this if you just tapped on the roof it sounded like a huge kettle drum
I guess it was a minor setback from hours with a planishing hammer.

  11. Man what a great project. I have a 51 model 45R (2 door hardtop Special) and the roof and windows are the nicest parts to look at, in my opinion.
Looking forward how it will look finished.

That is a 55 plymouth bumper shortened at the wheel house.

A 53 special upper grill bar minor trims to fit. Still Need to modify sheet metal
Its bent on the pass side.
A little heat should fix that

And a 53 special grill.the grill I made custom brackets and swapped out teeth 2,3,4 and 22,23,24. For full length bars where the signal housings were.
