  6. Ryan -

Thanks for featuring this cool video in today's TJJ Blog!

It didn't get much exposure (less than 250 views & only 1 reply) when Deadelvis2000 posted it last August (see Pennzoil at Bonneville Salt Flats 1932).

Also of note ... some of the footage in this video was used in the "Boys of Bonneville: Racing on a Ribbon of Salt" documentary film that you featured in your May 2nd 2011 TJJ Blog (see The Boys Of Bonneville).

  7. cool video, i really like biplanes, so the footage with it flying over the car was awesome.
i wonder if he lined his shadow up to cut the sun glare to get a "close up" shot and if so where they went.

Great, my favourite film on here (aside from perhaps the roadster racing one... and maybe the Coachmen show... and perhaps some of the 50's colour drag racing ones).

Love the stopwatches (average the 3 readings for an "official" time) and the oil pots for course lighting. Thanks for sharing.

The chassis shots in motion were awesome. Dig those metal spring covers, huh? And knock off wheels too!

Pit crew with collared shirts and a few neckties, felt hats, bet they damn near all smoked.

Drive with your mouth closed . . . fantastic stuff.

And that is one big ass car, very cool!

Did I hear right? The kid says (I think) "Go get em dad." near the end or at the last pit stop.

I've collected quite a bit of Pennzoil advertising over the years, I know I have more Ab Jenkins stuff but these two on the bottom are cool
