to Jeremy, aka fellow HAMBer dude 6ftunder

flew all the way up from Vegas to Seattle to seal the deal too

thanks Jeremy, hope you enjoy it as much as I did,
in the mean time, me and the old lady are going out for tacos and maybe a beer or two,
her to celebrate, me numb the shock :)

I'm sure I will. It's been a bit of a search for something done right. I hope to find a ride home for the car soon.

Nice ride, congrats. Why not drive it home? :) Enjoy.

  6. Would have been a lot of people that eye-balled that RPU for possible purchase, myself included. Nice buy Jeremy.

  7. Really cool car, i guess i am not the only one jealous here :)

transport dude picked it up for delivery yesterday,
took it home to load a second car,
backed the RPU out of the trailer to put the second car in front,
and scrubbed the pan on the ramp, making a mess..
he called to tell me about it and I told him to bring it back
so we could make it right.
'put a good band-aid on it, and fresh oil and filter..
he just picked it up again and is heading South now

    the coupe also left today
sold it to someone a bit closer to home.

  10. Holy!, That's a radical liquidation.

To 6ftunder, that is an acceptable excuse for not driving it home.
To coupe buyer, Great new car!
To Paul, get ready for serious separation anxiety

  11. Nice stuff. You having any sellers remorse? How do you guys get away with driving cars like that. Go to jail around here.

  12. Congrats to the buyer and the seller-
Paul, I hope all is well and your not having to sell your rides.
    Best to all, Greg

The plan was to focus on the one, but natural instinct has me looking for something to replace what is gone..
    Must... Stay... Focussed... :)

Ha ha, good luck with that! You've got great taste and skills man.

  17. Always hurts to see one go, as for two at the same time I can only say onward and upward.

  18. Congrats Paul, just sent my 62 Bonneville Safari on it way today... Now time to focus on my Woody... Going to miss seeing that RPU ! :D

I hope that you won't soon be posting on the. - " I shouldn't have sold that" thread'. :) Sometimes life dictates that other things come first, I' m sure the new owners will appreciate and enjoy your cars. And good to see that you kept the best one. Although they all look like neat cars.

    WOOT WOOT!
She unwillingly passed, and got a new plate. Pretty slick though... It's more like aluminum sticker.

Oil pan will need some love, but shipper was obliging; with a little discount. Gonna be fun!

6ftunder, nice purchase. Makes me want to finish my own RPU build. I'll get there :)

Paul, if I had sold that RPU I would have been posting almost immediately on the wish I hadn't sold it thread :D

I'll likely drop the pan and do some welding, but what is the span of years/eng sizes that share the same pan?

    '49 to '56 should fit
you will need to get the matching year gaskets
they changed a bit but I don't remember exactly when.

I hate to see them gone, you had them, what? Almost 10 years ago when I visited you. But again, good to see some fresh building diaries here on HAMB. ;)
