  7. ...here's another shot of my 37 (and a 38 I have for sale); it sat in a polebarn for 40 years, very solid car.

This was the 8th best showcar in the westcoast and never featured in magazines (because of it's name) Hemiroid. License use to be PrepH! Built and owned by Andre LaFrance. Car use to turn 10's through the mufflers. Was in American Graffiti. When the filmed it, they hired all of the local clubs to come and cruise. Gave us 35.00 night, plus all you could eat at the roach coaches. We all were excited just to meet Opie (Andy Griffins)

  10. Already shown there is a few pic of Guerero and Liesmaki's 37 Chevy coupe

anybody notice they spelt Liesmaki's name wrong one one side of the car but right spelling on the other side

I asked Norm Christophersen, Ben Liesmaki's close friend even today, about the spelling and he laughed and said "yea but just on one side"

They made the fiberglass nose themselves on the car back in the 60's

Does anyone have any pictures of the Platt Brothers/Terminal Transport 38 A and or B gasser coupe ? It was from the Atlanta area circa 1960-1962. Thanks

  14. I looked through my 37 38 Chevy gasser pic collection and found this one which had the name Platt on it. Mayby it's the right car.

Timmy that is a great find. Hope you know or can find some of its history. Hopefully it will be brought to the old drag race look and feel. Cool it still has the Hurst style mount and rear setup still in place.

Always thought they were killer cars. I remember a black 37 or 38 with a fiberglass nose with the solid front given the swiss cheese treatment in the pits at Detroit Dragway. Thinking maybe B/G but not totally sure but it was back in the late 60s. I was a painter and it had some real nice shiny black paint-looked as good as most show cars. Had a great stance and ran pretty decent.

Hope a few more can be resurrected to help preserve their history-Jim

If I were to ever build a Gasser, it would be one of these for sure. Back in the day (60's) these were always my favorites. There were some really nice ones running in the Central valley (Madera,Raisin City,Bakersfield)
