Event Coverage South East Gasser's at Greer,S.C. 4-26-2014

Did anyone get a photo of Gene Fulton's new Willys before he put it back in the trailer? It was probably the most looked at car there. It has eight 94 2 -barrel carbs on a small block Chevy. I don't recall ever seeing 8 two-barrel carbs on a small block Chevy in the 50+ years I have been in hot rodding. The engine looks 100% era correct to me.

I hope he makes the changes needed to run this circuit. It is an outstanding car.

These were sent to me Sunday, It has a ScottRods Custom 41 body.

 

I think Gene looks at the rules like any good class racer would...if there is a grey area they find it. That being said the Southeast boys are there to have fun run hard and keep the cars unpredictable, and keep the competition close for the spectators.

The car looks good. I hope he changes what needs to be changed and isn't too upset about the situation.

As far as grey areas, we all know whats right and wrong, you just hope they let it bye. In my eyes I applaud Quain for not letting something slide. Like anything, you give an inch they want a mile.
