What's up guys, the name is Robert... I am an Engineer from up in Maine and have been a car guy for years. I have owned a bunch of hot rods over the years, did some fabrication work on my race cars and currently race Jet Dragsters all over the eastern US. Just the other day I picked up a new project, I am gonna need some advice on how to do some things as I have not tackled this type of body work before. I can do all the mechanical stuff with my eyes closed, but the body work makes me nervous... lol. I Ann also gonna most likely be looking for some body parts and probably some new doors. The new project is a 1934 Ford Pickup on a 40's sedan frame. I am running a 5.0 Ford with an AOD and an 8.8 inch rear. I will be fabbing up a 76mm turbo and working on running mid 10's on pump gas. I will put up a couple of pics in the next post.
Skowhegan... I am originally from Madison. I am living down in Lebanon Maine now. My family is still up there. My parents are in Madison, rest if the family is in Canaan. Maybe you know them. My dad is Les Albertson, used to own Patriot Realty up there. My uncle Bill has had a bunch of hot rods over there years as well as his son Billy who owns Albertson Automotive in Canaan. I will attach a photo of the jet car here in a second.
How are you guys doing? When I saw building contractor I pretty much had it figured out! You guys gotta come down to the jet car race in Epping this year!
