Customs Pearlcraft

Would anyone be interested if someone was doing this in the US?

This wheel is on the roadster in my avatar.

 

This picture and the ones on his facebook page look like the effect was done with paint not the plasticised pearl coating that Pearlcraft uses. It's nicely done but doesn't appear to be the same process or at least if it is it is not achieving the same deep pearl look that Pearlcraft achieve. Pearlcraft is an actual plastic product that is applied to the wheel much like what pearl drum wrap and guitar pickguards are made out of.
