I feel your Pain, I had a whole trailer full of 47 Chevy woodie parts and 20K of brand new wood stolen last Jan. from my driveway. Had it all locked up and chain thru the wheels! Came out and found my locks all cut along with the chains cut.
I will make sure if I see it up in the Oakland area - I will make sure you get it back.
It really hope you get your car back!!!

  4. Well guys, nothing new.. :/ the cops are notified all around the so-cal area, but no leads.

  5. I got a tip from one that was at the Del Mar Goodguys Car Show on Saturday 4/05. He saw a car similar to the Chevy Wagon, it was parked near the section that had all the Woodies, Fords, Buick and Chevy. As he remembered it was green and for sale.

Has anybody photo of this car?

can not imagine someone would bring it out in the same condiiton. most likely taken to mexico or overseas if not disassembled to use on another car.. I hope you located it.

Since show and cruise season is in full swing now, hearing about someone making extreme progress on his more than rough 51 Chevy woody wagon might bring things to light. I'd think it either got stolen for parts for another car or got stolen to become another car that the thief or someone they sold it to had a roached out wagon with a clear title. It wouldn't be the first time someone with low scruples spotted a somewhat neglected looking vehicle sitting somewhere and stole it for parts for his own vehicle or a customer's vehicle.

I saw that it had been found and recovered on the Kustomrama page on FB a few minutes ago. Any updates?

    Great news!

  14. If that's true, it's great news. I keep checking this thread to see if there have been any updates. Let us know the story.

  15. It's true. Kvipt posted he found it over on his thread about his new F100.

My wife and I mentioned this theft at church...a prayer was said.

Please fill in the details, how & where it was found, etc. I am thrilled...and only a bystander.

    Congrats!

Think you and your wife would put in a good word for me on a chopped 50 merc? :D

  18. I hope the owner was able to chop the nuts off the a-hole that stole it and can proudly display them below the back bumper.

  19. Problem is the one who stole it did not have any balls..

Guess he feels he doesn't owe any details.

  26. Maybe he can't give too many details yet due to a police investigation. Or he might be too busy working on the F100.

I wonder if it has any thing to do with the other stolen car that just got recovered?

Seems to coincidental that they got recovered about the same time.
