This is an old pencil drawing I did about ten years ago.
A few updates and a background make a fun piece
of a car I always liked.

 

always liked that truck and its amazing story and ressurection after its awful towing accident

Somebody donated this sweet little '30 Model A to the local Hospice Home, and they are selling raffle tickets for it to raise money. Yeah, somebody is going to take this A home... lucky bastages...

Anyway, they asked me to do art of it to use to promote the raffle. Since my dad and my MIL both were taken care of by Hopsice when they passed, how could I say no?

First my rough pencil sketch which has a nice dynamic all it's own...



And then the finished color...

Great stuff Dan but more importantly you must have recently switched photo hosts or the changes made here by Ryan are finally allowing me to view your photos at work!!!! Always loved your stuff but never got a chance to see it at work, blocked for some reason, and never find time to get on the puter at home.

 

Jen love the Rocket 88 I've been wanting to do a panel with the 88 logo that gives me some inspiration.

 

Just to inspire the guys and gals that think that you need an expensive photo editing program to make alterations to car photos...

This was done in about ten minutes with MSPaint. Just use "Free Form Selection", COPY & PASTE (transparent selection) and voila!

I've found that it's usually much easier to push the road UP under a car instead of lowering the car. If you have the right photo, chopping tops is pretty easy too. Once you have the basic sheetmetal in place, more copy & paste to borrow other stuff in the background to fix the holes, gaps, etc.

I had an idea for something different to sell at swapmeets. My sister crocheted these and I will have them at Vintage Torquefest Swapmeet next week
