Hello folks. I am needing to replace the front brakes on my 1959 Edsel Ranger. I am having trouble finding information and a supplier for the drums. I have read that you need to press out the hub and press it into the new drum, I would like to know if this is true. Also I would like to gather up the names of a few knowledgable suppliers that I can order some parts from. The pictures I have found on the internet al look like rear drums so they are of o help. I appreciate any help.

Any one replaced front brakes on an Edsel?

  3. Edsel is the same as Ford. Front drums do not come with the Hub installed. You do not need anything special to remove the hub or replace the drum. Call Ott's Friction Supply at 503-283-4165. It's a one stop Brake and Clutch co. They have been here 60 years and that's all they do.
