Hey guys just had a quick question about interchangeable Mopar stuff. I have a 318 in my 1960 Dodge Dart, but i'm missing a few things. Harmonic Balancer, carb, radiator, etc. Will parts from a 318 in a 1961 Plymouth interchange? I'm sure they will, but just wanted to ask some Mopar experts before I buy the Plymouth. Thanks!

That's gonna depend on whether the 318s are both Poly motors, and that someone hasn't switched in an LA motor on you!

They are both the 318 poly.

    Those pieces should all interchange.

Yes, those parts should fit as the Dart and Plymouth used the same radiator 2bl.carb and balancer. I'd look over your timing chain cover on both motors as these tended to rot internally.

  6. what ^^^^they said...and ditto on that timing cover...hell - timing chain and gear sets are cheap....swap in a new one if it looks like you need a new cover...
