    Any body planning to go?

  4. Sounds like fun & would be a pretty short trip for me.
What about this show ( Viva Atlanta ) in Alanta July 4 & 5.
Any ATLHambers know details they can share?

Autocross you say? Will that be open to rodders or is it a SCCA type thing?

Regardless, COOL, and good for you! It's nice to see these events cropping up regionally. Up my way we've got the New England Shakedown now. No autocross or racing, but still great to have.

loosewheel, the main hit for Viva Atlanta is a Spanish Language Radio Station. However I found the FB Page for the Viva Atlanta you want to know about.

  6. Damn Mike - Just saw this - I will have a tough time making it. I really want to check out those Friday night drags.

Never heard of it before . . . website suggests its more of a rat rod/rockabilly deal.

Can't make it to the Autorama but I am trying to find a friday I can make it down for a FND deal. ;)

  13. Thanks for the info, I know Skratch, of Bell Helmet/pinstriper extrodinaire, will be there at the Viva event. Alot of good bands too.

I'm gonna try to come to the Autorama too.

I'm bring the '34 Plymouth 5 Window Coupe - InFlameous. I believe this will turn into a big event for years to come.

And I'm looking into that Viva Atlanta.

We were at the AtlantaMotorama last weekend. I thought it was too expensive, 50 bucks for the car show, 6 bucks for a pretzel dog, 3 bucks for a bottle of water and on and on. I can afford it but will choose not to go next year.

I think it was $35 if you per-registered but I am with you on the price . . . $50 is too much for me to even race let alone just a show. Thats why I tend to stick to the $5 & under shows and the 1/8 mile tracks around ;)

The cheap shows also tend to have a TON more people at them, win win.

Steel in Motion is May 16th/17th . . . $15 to get in and run what ya brung (provided you wouldn't get flamed on the HAMB for posting it :D) Your 56 would be perfect.

  19. Here are a few shots I took Saturday at da Motorama. A good number of HAMB members were there ..........

We were only able to make on Sunday and it cost us $35 to get in. I wasn't real impressed with the event, but we got to make a few laps around the track in the gasser with the wife and kids. And thats all my kids will talk about so it was well worth it to me. We will be at steal and motion racing the 56 for sure.
