Hot Rods What are these?

I bought these at a swap meet a while ago because I thought they were cool...... why else? I am not sure what they were designed to fit, they look like they would clamp on a round pedal. The face says "Grant pat pend" and on the back it says "Grant auto appliance Co Denver COLO". They are cast aluminum. Thanks for the mind power.

Those are bitchn. If I was still in 8th grade shop class, I would make a whole bunch of them...
