  1. have No regrets yet Mike :) i just run the stock vacuum wipers

Yes ? dont you like it ?? :p:D

    Hey thats willy's Coe ;)

    i got these http://www.ebay.com/itm/1935-1940-F...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f1122e5e6

    from cw moss

  2. i almost thought the same

the engine did not run smooth
it ran on 7 cillinders and couldnt get behind the cause  got a fuel soak on #4 , first i thought it was a bad plug then suspected a stuck fuel injector or bad compression , checked it all but all seemed ok
switched out injectors, coilpacks plugs and wires but problem kept on at #4

i was almost to the point to pull the head yesterday
but didnt do it to do a leakdown test first tonight but that didnt reveal the issue either

then did another compression test untill i noticed with all plugs removed,
    and disconnected injectors and coils

it kept puking fuel out of cillinder 4 then my suspision moved to the fuel pressure regulator on the other side where it gets its vacuum from a port
on (guess what) cillinder # 4

finaly i found it ! just ordered a new one from amazon and should arrive friday

  5. Your simply outstanding attention to detail, design and execution with your limitless abilities to do this project in such a short time really makes my head spin. I was really impressed with how quickly you solved the fuel injection issue too. Thanks for showing us every step of the way. Very well done Sander!

This is a true work of art!
I'm so impressed by the craftsmanship and the clear commitment to the underlying Art Deco theme.
The truck just looks great from every angle.

Just a thought...you might want to move the headlight dimmer switch. That location is right where you foot will be. I moved mine just below the column...or did you change up your floor to create a foot rest?

As for the winch cover, you really don't need to continue to show off, we all know you are simply fabulous at everything!!! LOL

    Keep up the good work.

  8. left of the switch i have a deadpedal to rest your left foot

and your telling me to stop showing off ? who itself has made some pretty complex side storage boxes with outstanding beadroll work :) and the only coe with exclusive one of side mirrors ;):D

Lets just say, your work is so darn good that it makes my stuff look like an amateur, and I've been doing builds for 40 years. As for my crazy boxes, I was making really good progress on them this week and then I came down with the flu. I will never do boxes like these again, they are just too much work...oh wait, I still have to build the second one......oh @#!$

  10. Ok last saturday we got the seats back from the upholster
and made the carpet on the floor to finish the interior

then took it out yesterday for some test ride's and calibrate the speedo meter reading, ang got a first load on the back

and then took it to a scenic location for some pictures :)

got back and all seemed to be Thumbs up for Todays first meeting
untill I noticed the Oil Presure Gauge reads nothing :eek::eek:
then checked gauge and wiring and installed a mechanical gauge to the block
and still No Oil Presure :(:(

then i drained the oil and it confirmed my suspicion bigtime, full of metalic particals.

so i can start on pulling the engine, and see what and how bad the damage is
it still ran good and no wierd noises

oh well i have something to do again for sure

  11. Absolutely beautiful truck! Well done.

Sorry to hear about your engine troubles. Hope it's not too serious...

    Hey Sander

Man that really sucks finding those parts in your oil, you did have oilpressure when you first started your engine?

I wish I had 1/10 of your skill ! Beautiful truck , I've been dreaming of one similar for 10 years or so now...

  14. Yes Leen it did it had a leaking fuel presure regulator causing to soak cillinder 4 tru the vacuum port for a while before i found the cause

and I suspect to much fuel got into the engine oil making the oil to thin and screwing up the bearings

    will find out soon...........

  15. BUMMMMMER ! and BEAUTIFUL !

  16. I really like the flow of the fender skirt/fender/rear quarter of the bed! One doesn't often see that much artistry on a ramp bed. Once again, you have set the "bar" very high for the rest of us!
Sorry to hear of the engine troubles, hope bearings/oil pump fix it and you don't need crank or cylinder work. Looks like a big job to get the engine out, or does it drop out the bottom?

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Crap!!!!!!!!

That is such a bummer about the engine. Will it be a lot of work to get to it? Do you have to remove the bed? That news is just a jaw dropper.

The interior looks very nice, I like the thin roll and pleat design. Everything is coming together nicely.

I see the chevy guys just do bearings on those engines fairly often so hopefully you caught it in time and can get away with that.

other than that this truck rules I must say again

  22. Sorry to hear your makin' metal! Great looking hauler!

  23. The engine can be dropped from the bottom if i remove the headers.

Then lower it on a cart and then raise the truck abouth 2,5 feet on jack stands :)
