Good luck with your Fleetline....mine was 5 1/2 years and about 30,000.00 with me doing all the work except interior and engine machine work...otherwise...it was all me with the exception of 3 days of help putting the sheetmetal on and my Mexican friend helping me install the back seat.

Would NEVER touch another Fleetline for NO amount of $$$$$.

And remember, if you buy anything other than orig chevy made...plan on it not fitting, not working, or working for a day or two.

For a while....just enjoy driving it and learning its quirky ways...tackle one very small thing at a time and that will give you confidence to tackle the next item. I went back and re read your 1st post...guess you have already worked on that first item... LOL...with that, I will say you are doing a great job...keep it up.

I also painted the car, measured, ordered, and installed the headliner, built the engine, designed and put in all the wiring, installed every part that is showing.

The car has a built 283 that runs awful nice if I could keep the spark plug wires in the distributor, 700R overdrive trans without a lockup which is really sweet, at 40 mph I am doing about 1,000 rpm, 60 is 2000 rpm, have a 4wd s-10 3.42 rear that gets it off the line quickly with that low 1st gear 700R.

283, Z-28 hi comp heads, bored 60 over with flat top pistons, quadrajet custom built by me and my 87 yr old mech, edelbrock polished intake and 327-300 cam....car pulls 160 lb on every cyl.

    Car has:
1 pc windshield (now a 3 pc, terrible thailand product)
    Old air air conditioner
    tilt, pw, pb, p ant
real 59 chevy impala steering wheel
MII front end, a discarded no longer in CE rear spring kit, now 78 Granada rear springs ( much nicer)
All new rubber seals on windows
Front and rear calif 1 pc bumpers
The list goes on and on

Not to be rude, but are you sure its the correct arm? Or maybe soneone changed the transmission? I think i have a book with a break down photo of the transmission assy. Ill try to remember to look after work.

Might have to scour swap meets, the net or yards for the wiper transmission, i dont see that part available or even the whole assy. Lots of custom guys dont run wipers so im sure youll be able to find it eventually.

I have a 48, but the 49-52s are my favorites. Good car, have fun.
