Thanks Rainierhooker! That's the plan, The wheels only got put on today.
I'm just trawling the forums looking for a bit of a guide to lower it. I'm new to Hot rodding so I'm leaning what I can from here. living in Australia means it a little harder to get parts so I may have to Macgyver something together out of old bits and pieces.

For some reason A's look better in red primer than most other rods. Maybe it is because they are what I lusted for as a 14 year old and a neighbor had one. I love this one. It could have a spot in my garage.

Here ya go Roddy. Its got a stock frame, but its been done like a TCI frame. Mustang II front from TCI, 8" rear with a Pete and Jakes ladder bar, coil over type set up. 231 cu in Buick V6/turbo 350 trans. Sanderson headers, an RV cam and that's about it for drive train. Dash insert is a 57 Ford pickup mounted into a custom made plywood and Bondo dashboard. Seat is stock covered in a Mexican blanket, but it actually glue down and fitted to the seat, rather than just thrown over the seat. Door and side panel the same. It's a great little drive, just went to the Goodguy's Del Mar show and drove the coast most of the way. Whata blast. Hope this answers your inquiry.

  22. Bump for a great thread.

  23. Here's A Rodder's 29 Roadster, he had me put on big n' littles with 35' wires, yanked the bumpers off, and put a dropped front spring in.

My bride's 31 coupe. We sold it awhile back, but she loved the looks as she drove it all over the place. It was her grocery getter...
We restored the interior, but left the exterior as found in all it's original glory with the exception of later model 16" powder coated spokes. She loved her coupe.

I'm going with fenders. Fitting was a lot of extra work - but worth it. I considered going fenderless for a year so that I could get on the road sooner- but the side view of the model A frame and transmission visible from the side - just didn't look right.

impalamike is you're coupe on a 32 frame or have you put rear horns on it to carry the 32 fuel tank? Great looking car.

  30. Thanks Wardog. It's a Brookville model A frame with 2 in kick up. We built a tank mount to put a 32 tank I the rear
