This is a 55 56 model and the Gold one is a 57, does that answer your question.

  4. Yep - never looked at the flanks, was really focused on the canted quads. Amazing that there are two well done custom T birds like this that were built!

I know that this post was from many years back, however I have been looking for this car for a long time. My father purchased this car at an auction in Monroe, Michigan back in 1973, however he sold it shortly thereafter to a person from Cleveland, Ohio.
When he owned it, the car was the candy apple red, and I'm wondering which year the car was used by the car polish company. I have to believe that he purchased the car after it was used in the ads.
I have to wonder what became of this car, as I may be interested in repurchasing the car. Hopefully the last picture was not the last of this car. I have great memories of that car!

That last picture sure looks like it with the fins removed. I'd bet money on it.

  9. Yep, and those weird rectangular light pods removed from the front end too...

I have great ( and not so great memories also) The Electra was my responsibility when I worked for the Polish company. I have current pictures but they are not pretty. I know where it is but the guy isn't (or at least wasn't interested in selling a couple of years ago when Mark Moriarity was looking to buy it.

Pm me you phone number, we should talk.

The bubble top listed as Gary "Chop it" Fioto's beatnik was on Barry's (Of storage wars) fame, tv show and he said it was a 55 Fordon his show.

Didn't read other posts if somebody already said this

This 63 plymouth may have already been posted but its something a little diffrent that I had to share to make sure just in case.
I dont know any of the story about it but Im assuming its a more recent build as I think it may have been in Hot Rod mag recently.
    GAS BUBBLE?:) I like it!

  16. Regarding that bubble top plymouth 'Gas Bubble', I just watched this episode of My Classic Car, a few weeks ago which features it (2nd half)

Nope - the gold one has been on Ebay several times in the last year - was built back in the 60's I think - originally a local car here at Indy - Indy Road Rockets - Tom Culbertson built it.

a little off topic, but I'm doing the interior of my 40 Ford in 50's-60's style. Anyone know where I can get the long white angel hair fabric for the package tray?? A great view of what I'm after is the shot in American Graffiti where Curt is in the back seat with the Pharoahs.

I think it's called a seat, but if you're seeing a wiener; who am I to judge?
