Hi has any one got info on stroking a 283chev, it's going in my 53 Blair. I could go a 350 but don't want to.
That's what she said 307 my favorite SBC 282 bore and 3.25 (327) stroke but later than the 283. No reason you couldn't do it with your 283. Don't we all... 283s are awesome little engines! And they wind up like an 8 day clock! Find a small journal 327 and put that 283 crank in it. 4 inch bore and 3 inch stroke!
