i have been trying to find out as many details as i can about this BEAUTIFUL kustom. it's a 1960 cadillac...the car had air suspension, it was started in the late 1960s and finished in early 1970. here's some info i do know: dale gould was the builder/owner, the roof (1965 impala) was added by george barris, billy carter painted the car in a "peacock flake" with watson style lace panels in black, the car went through a couple of owners and had a pretty rough life...the car has not been seen for 20 years or so..last seen in an auto shop class in california about twenty years ago,,,then....POOF! the car vanished......someone told me the car is still around, the chassis is done, the body is painted, but not assembled yet...i have not been able to verify this,,,,,if ANYONE knows the whereabouts of this car, PLEASE post what you know either on this thread, or pm me.....thanks for your help....

i'd have to hope it did really survive as it's bitchin'. hopefully someone has some current info.

my buddy in virginia beach told me he's decided to sell his 70s/80s custom 64 rivi. he's never been able to put together alot of history other than it was chopped some time in the 70s along with lots of other body mods like the front fender peaks being made into heart shapes. i beleive the hydraulics were also done around the same time. i'm waiting on him to send me some pics but he's not a computer guy...ken....

I don't care for Caddies but that 60 is something else. I hope you find the info you are looking for.

Have you tried contacting Dale Gould?

He might know the current whereabouts of his old kustom.

Mr. Gould is currently living in Portland, OR ... click HERE for his facebook page.

You obviously know the history of the car ... but I thought these pics & info from The Cadillac Database© - Dream Cars on Cadillac Chassis (1960 - 1961) webpage might be of interest to the rest of the H.A.M.B. community:

Gould, Dale (USA), custom "half-tip" conversion on 1960 Eldorado Biarritz.

According to Tony Wood, a Barris associate, this car was actually built by Dale Gould at his shop in Hollywood, Ca. The leading on the roof was performed at the Barris shop, in 1968. Tony kindly supplied five of the photos of the car (below). It has the roof off a '65 Chevy Impala and may be displayed with or without the removable roof portion. This car was featured in the book, Famous Customs and Show Rods by Barris & Scagnetti.
