To my eye the cowl is too rounded and it creates an awkward transition from the 57 rear clip. Transitioning from square to round is never pretty.

Just my 2¢ worth, keep the change.

  3. yeah i kind of agree, i think it would look better if it matched with the 57 rear end, easier said then done.

Hey guys,I was able to get some work done this weekend on the car [its been a rough winter] I setup the mounts for the motor dropped the motor and trans in, my stainless headers came in so I bolted them on to see how it would look this is only mock up so the motor will be coming out to get cleaned and painted and the vintage parts can go on it I had to put the pie crusts on it to see how the whole picture would look,The second pic is with the paint stripped off the body....hope you like it?I think its really taking shape....

  7. Kustomizer, your project looks way nifty! Do you have an idea for a windshield? A T-style or something wrap-around? Was thinking if you could find an old tall one (Dodge or something else) like Roth used on the Outlaw (Excalabre) that'd work.. Also, because I'm the meddling sort, about an inch more removed around the rear wheel would visually reduce the rear fender size while leaving the stance right where it is; and a reveal/flair around the wheel opening would give a more "finished" look. Okay, that's my interference for the day..

I might have pie-cut the top of the trunk to arrive at flatter sides,
but I think you're going to have a very interesting piece.
I did this several years ago. Maybe you can pick up a few ideas
from my art. I'll subscribe and can't wait to see more updates.
    Good luck!

Just an update ,Some of the work I have been doing to the car is the non glamorous work of doing the floors and wheel tubs[not picture worthy] Now on to the outside I have made a finished edge to the wheel arches,I picked up a 1957 larson boat windshield frame. I cut it down to fit it has that fifties look and I am not finished with it yet [you can see it in the pic] I have started work on the radiator headlight area.I will have some more pics later.....

This is cool i had one similar years ago. Bought it off a buddy of mine as a barley rolling project built car and traded it back to him. Was a lot of controversy on who built it but it after i traded it, but i have all the build pics somewhere

  21. Very cool, Kustomizer. I like it a lot.
The side view is fantastic. The headlights look a bit too big, but maybe it's just the photo.
