History longest you have owned one classic/rod?

49 years april 22nd...

 

I'm pushing 5 years with my 50 Dodge which is a record for me. And I don't see it going anywhere any time soon, too many memories of me and my dad laying under the damn thing! Lol

 

For me, it's another red & white more door like the OP.

Going on 11 years with my Comet... I've had a lot of cars and trucks come and go,(modern and old)but the Comet was the most reliable out of all, inline 6,power nothing, 2 spd Ford-O-Matic, pretty dam simple.

Put over 45,000 miles on it in mostly So. Cal traffic and heat, it was my daily driver to work and back for years. I don't plan on ever getting rid of it.

Old faithful, now, almost never gets driven (not by choice).

Not a car for the hamb , but I've owned my 69 mach 1 for 31 years.

 

My 52 pickup! I have owned 27 years I'm 42 and bought it when 15.that truck feels like as much a part of my life or more, then any one single thing I've ever owned or experienced

 

I think 6 yrs is about the longest I have owned any car except for my daily driver 04 PU which I bought new.

 

13 years, but I'm only 27, so give me a break! My uncle has owned his '50 Chevy since 1955... Now that's a long time!

My slightly off topic 68 El Camino since 76,my 55 Chevy 2 dr sedan Bel Air since 1994,my 56 Sedan delivery since 92.Oh and my Falcon since 1994.

 

Had my 56 MGA since 1974.

 

My 55 Chevy. Got it 9 years ago when I was 27.

 

I've had my 1963 catalina 2 years. That's the longest I've owed a classic. I'm 33.

 

My 31 Model A coupe, 42 years. First put on the road in 1973, went to the drive in to see "American Graffitti" when it came out with my girlfriend (now wife of 40 years) in it.....talk about feeling cool at 19 years old....Now my grandson and I work on it..

I've owned my 53 Plymouth wagon for 38 years and my 67 bug for 31 years.

 

Bought my 1930 Model A in 1981, so 33 years.

35 years two weeks ago on my '40 Chevy convert. Spun the clock right around 180,000 miles. Been a dandy hot rod.

 

35 years , ot 1969 Barracuda convertable.

 

I've had my '34 Buick coupe since 1973

 

Since 1957. Purchased for $65.

Had my 57 Bel Air sport coupe for 38 years. Just sold her. I bought 2 other cars and with a 2 car garage, one had to go. The old Chevy made the best economical sense, although emotionally it was hard to let her go. It looks like the new owner is going to do a total resto - which was what she needed and I had neither the skill nor money to do her justice.

 

The 49 Thames since 1964($100), the 49 Ford Panel since 1972($25), The 60 Corvette since 2003($21,000), and the 48 Thames since 2012 ($5000).

 

Bought my '55 Chevy back in 1992.
