...I have been working on trying to get the old Vindicator ready for this summer....what you see are the remnants of the original car (has 60% of the original paint)

It's a 393 w t10 9" budget build. Vintage tube axle that was in a mustang drag car. Econoline spindles maybe a little street action maybe play with it at strip occasionally. Should be fun ... If I ever get it done. Funny, I say that about all the projects on my list...maybe I really do have a problem...

That would be nice. However I'm not optimistic. Recovering from shoulder surgery. So not much progress since November. I may be at some events but the car will be in a pile in the shop I'm sure.

Man, I'd love to make it. I've been a bit incapacitated past five months. Short on funds too. Hoping to have it fired up and running in next few weeks. Still a have to cut and set up the 9". Entire brake system yet to go. No seats lots left to do. I must attend the MDD this year. Was last at Byron three years ago I believe with Hendricks fuel car.

Back in the mid 60's I used to watch the Vindicator run every Sunday at Dover Drag Strip and it was always a crowd favorite.

So much wonderful drag racing history with that car.

Best of luck with the project. Jimbo

Roy, ALGON setups are out there, I have a nice setup, and my buddy had a couple, one low/med rise that he sold recently for $1800, and a nice HR set, still on the engine he was running in his pulling truck. Some real phishers on epay, gotta be patient and look for a decent deal. Once you have the basic manifold, you can run regular Hilborn etc. barrels, pumps, nozzles etc.- mine came with Hilborn nozzles and an Enderle barrel, and the original converted aircraft pump plus the Hilborn they were running with it- even got an ALGON FE front cover with drive boss. They run good, but the throttle bodies aren't real big, the Hilborns will make more power
