Needlouvers and I have a grand plan for the day.

7:30am so-cal shoebox swap meet
10:00 the hot rod hundered run
1:30 Red Devils picnic
6:00 central cruise by taking over the George and Dragon porch and parking lot facing the street to see everything go by and relax after a long day in the saddle.

 

El Bombero, are you wimping out on us?? just put some oil in it & you will be fine!!

Is the thing at the George and Dragon an official event? We are in town for the weekend and I need to see some hotrods! This place is about a mile from where we're staying.

We had a great time on the run... I felt bad bailing in new river, but once the model A was pronounced dead, I didn't figure there was much else to be done. Thanks for a great day!!

It was a great time, right up to New River. I appreciate the help trying to get my beast back up and running, and the patience of the rest of the folks who were forced to stand around watching us. I just got the car on Wednesday (from Wisconsin) and it "needs some sorting out."

I'm in good hands with Chip. Um, right?

 

Yes, you are in very good hands with Chip. He just finished building the C20 that I had on the run today. I was putting on the first miles today.

Looks like it was fun. I know it's a little soon but is there a plan to do this again next year in the same time frame or earlier? I'm a Snowbird and we left a little earlier than normal this year to come home or I might have bummed a ride. I didn't have any of our toys with us this year. Thinking about bringing my new to me 36 Ford PU down next year.

 

I had a ton of fun hanging, and driving like a maniac (to get photos). I'm back in Cali, and will be working on the pictures. Hope to have a few posted today. It was a beautiful day. Happy to have met all that showed up. We'll do it again next year!

My wife and I had a great time. We drove a total of 412 miles in the '32 fordor, saw a lot of great scenery, and killed a ton of bugs in the process.

Thanks to Doug and his wife, as well as their friend Jay, for making this run a success. They mapped out a great route, and made sure everyone had plenty of coffee, donuts and water to start the day.
