So I am putting in a new 350 GM Goodwrench crate motor and I primed it on the stand. Me priming with the drill and my buddy rotating the motor 90 deg by hand ever 30 sec or so. We had good oil pressure the whole time and all is well. This was about a month ago.

Life happened.... now motor is in the car and on Saturday I pulled the distributor again and primed it for a couple of minutes (didn't turn engine over) and as I was filling the radiator, I noticed a small crack in the water pump.

So it has been a couple of days now and pump is fixed. Do I need to pull the distributor again and re-prime? Or will it still be ok? Should I pull the spark plug wires and turn the engine over with the started to fill the bowls in the carb and get some oil pressure?

    Thanks,
    Jon

Shouldn't have to do anything but if you want to do something just pull the coil wire and crank to get pressure.
