After a year of waiting I finally brought this beast home. 1960 DeSoto Fireflight 2 dr ht. Older restoration, new chrome, paint, interior, rebuilt trans, dealer installed 413 in the mid 60's. Came with original title issued in 1960, yes, I will be the second registered owner. Will not need much to be on back on the road, 2" lower and wide white's for starters, and all of this for 12k

Beautiful car. You might want to re-think your choice in tires though, that car would look much better without WWW's.

I think everyone was imagining much wider whites than that...

    Those look cool.

Cleaned up pretty good, will need a cut and buff, get, the breakers not to stick, fix the lifter noise (last licensed in -74) and we should be good to go.

I agree that much wider whites would not be a good look.

That thing is really really nice.

And that dash is about as space age atomic jetsons cool as they come.

    You really scored.

Nothing radical, new tires, black wheels with spiders, might go from 14 to 15" wheels. 3" lower in the back and 2" up front. Maybe someone can tell me if I can drop it 2" by adjusting the torsion bars or if I need new spindles?

Nice car! All you need now for it is one of those factory cross ram manifolds. Love those old Mopars intakes.

Those are great looking cars! I tried to buy one a couple years back, but it was bid out of my price range. All the rest that I have found in my area have had too many doors.
