My 51 I bought around a month ago. A lot of work to do to it but at least it runs and drives

 

Looks like it was solid to begin with...did it spend its whole life in the Midwest? Usually the bottoms are rotted out! Good work by the way.

A work in progress.

 

Im not sure where it spent its whole life at, I bought it off a guy here in Terre Haute and he swears he pulled it out of a barn in the middle of the woods. Id say it hasn't seen too much road salt by the looks of the undercarriage. Someone has "tried" to restore it before so I have had to try and make it right. It wont be perfect when Im done with it but I have learned a ton. I got her all taped up tonight and if all goes as planned it should have a fresh coat of paint on it tomorrow.

Thanks! Plans are to lower it a little, change out the wheels, and split the exhaust. My Fleet has 37,xxx original miles and runs and drives excellent.

Here is my 49. One repaint about 20 years ago, otherwise all original and running strong at 78,000.

 

My 49 Special that i drove in high school. Sadly she is in a million pieces waiting her turn for a rebirth.
