Since your on the subject of exhaust my
project today was exhaust...The torsion bars make the exhaust a challenge.

nice exhaust, but i am old school and like true dual exhaust. seems to sound better to me.

  3. I agree but the torsion keys limit my choices on the front suspension. To low to go under them so I chose to go between them. I never fooled with an "X" member style exhaust with the 40 series flowmasters it might be to loud.

Thank you! Chip Quinn ("need louvers" here on the HAMB) did that work. The detail is amazing. There are a few really excellent hot rod guys here in Phoenix and he is one of the best.

Mr. endless and Mr. louvers, that engine and bay are way beyond nice! In my opinion y'all just scored a 3 pointer. The air cleaner has really sparked my curiousity. May I ask what you started with?

Chip modified the stock air cleaner by cutting off the nozzle (for lack of a better word) and then grafting on the nozzle from a second air cleaner.

Yeah, got that, but did you cut holes through the core support and mount the headlights behind the core support?

    Post up some photos..

I cut the hole support off and it's all sheetmetal behind.
Headlight bases are from the old grille and welded in.
Don't have any good pics of that..
maybe this will tell you something.

A couple drive by videos. Asked my son to take them so I could hear how my truck sounds from the outside with the 2.5" pipes and the Brockman Mellowtones. TKO500 tranny. 4th gear in first video. 3rd to 4th gear shift in second video. Moderate RPMs.

Well, I was going to text you guys a Happy Easter this morning, but I got sidetracked... Seems like you put the kids to better work than an Easter Egg hunt anyway! "Here, stand here and hold this while dad plays NASCAR...":D
