What trick was used to hold the hood tops down?

This has been one of my favorite cars for a LONG time. That I got to be even a small part of it's transformation from what I used to think was nice into just about show-car quality nice makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

I started to build this model a long time ago but never finished it, obviously greatly inspired by this sedan. Like I said....a favorite for a long time.

Thrash continues, we have a few projects we are pushing on so I can't keep up on this daily but doing my best.

So waiting on a few little parts, but Magic started to do the cloth wiring in the engine bay, while Keith and Rudy tackled the mechanics and body assembly.

Most everything is tightened down, except front fenders and hood.

Phil and Brent are plugging away on the interior, Friday they made the base for the back seat, and mockedup the door panels and kick panels, Kail and Phil went over some headliner designs and a few other things, then they went back to start sewing again. Lots and lots and lots O'Diamonds.

Like any project when it gets down to the wire, any part on backorder or not realized can make or break it. We try and plan ahead as much as possible. We make sure any project we build will run and drive prior to paint because you never know when you need to make adjustments and you don't want fresh paint in that equation, whenever that fresh paint is there it takes twice as long to do anything because you have to be so careful. Just dropping an allen wrench can be a huge deal. And if you decide you need to weld a tab or something you are screwed.

This one was a solid driver before it came in, so we got that going for us.

Should trim out real nice in the next few days.. Maybe I will post final pics.. Maybe I will make you come and see it for your self :D

Love everything about the car. Especially love the body, firewall, and engine color combo. Makes everything pop and gives more detail.

    Great job. boys.

This is turning out great! I favor the 30-31s more, but that may change!
