Does anyone have a pic on how the windshield garnish molding sits in place on a 29 Model A coupe or sedan? I didn't have any and bought some repops. I have to chop them but need to know how the sit in place. Do they over lap the edges of the A pilar or sit against them? I'll get a pic real quick. Thanks, Ty

Why are you cutting them in the middle? Simply cut the amount off the top you need, drill a new upper mounting hole, and push in a new countersink for the hole. Done. No welding required.
pictures didn't come out real good , but mine sits like the second picture---not overlapped. I don't think mine has ever been off the car, but no guarantees.
If you cut the tops off the swing arm will be too high. I cut some out of the top and below the pivot bolt.

Not if you simply cut material off the top of the windshield frame when you chop it. Then the distance from the bottom of the windshield to the swing arm pivot stays the same for the body, moldings, and w/s frame. I've done it this way on 2 cars and it works fine.
