building a new floor

    i have a 36 chevy pickup and i am about to start building the floor. i have a few ideas and just wanted some more input. its going to be channeled 3 or 4 inches. any help would be great.

    @merles_garage... hi, I'm doing the same and just saw your old post. Did you ever get additional feedback? Would you mind sharing what you did or are planning to do? I fitted a 1/8" alum pan for the "road" side of the new floor and added smooth 1/2" ply pieces on top. Comes out to same thickness as the recess so new ply surface is flush with rest of steel floor and toeboard. Great fit and looks good, but I can't decide on how to attach/secure it all to the steel lip.
